Nothing says New York City more than a museum dedicated to what New York is all about. At the Museum of the City of New York, patrons are allowed to link the past, present and future of NYC through a variety of presentations and exhibits designed to show the timeline of what New York’s evolution. When stepping through its doors on Manhattan’s famous Museum Mile, you will notice that an extensive remodeling and expansion project is under way. Several floors of memorabilia ranging from photographs, prints, theater mementos, costumes, and more are displayed in such a way as to show the affluent history of New York and to instill a sense of grandeur the city represents. Through Summer2012, the museum is continuing to offer state-of-the-art exhibitions including demonstrations on the social and economic growth of NYC. Visitors are encouraged to look at the projects including “Capitol of Capitol” which deals directly with New York banks and their effect on the global economy and “From Farm to City” which showcases Staten Island and its change from rural farmland to an urban center. The Museum of the City of New York is a phenomenal experience and a treasured look at one of the most fascinating cities in the world.

One of the other primary attractions of the museum is the accurate recreation of some of the most famous battles and events in Intrepid history. Foi primeiro a residência dos governadores da Capitania do Rio de Janeiro e depois passou a ser a casa de despachos, sucessivamente, do Vice-Rei do Brasil, do Rei de Portugal Dom João VI e dos imperadores do Brasil. Em sua restauração, na reconstituição da fachada, optou-se pela feição colonial, adquirida particularmente no período da ocupação pela Família Real Portuguesa, mas foram preservadas marcas e formas de vários outros momentos históricos. O Paço Imperial conta com uma diversificada programação de artes plásticas, cinema, teatro, música, biblioteca, atividades educativas, seminários, serviços de lojas e restaurantes.
Percorrê-lo é fazer uma releitura do tempo inscrito em seus espaços, relacionando-os com épocas e fatos ocorridos. As exposições permanentes também são um ótimo programa cultural.

The Museum of Photographic Arts officially opened its doors on May 1, 1983 as one of the few museum facilities in the United States designed exclusively to collect and present the world's finest examples of photographic art. The appointment of nationally renowned curator/photographer Arthur Ollman as Executive Director brought visionary leadership and instant credibility to the nascent museum. In 2006, Deborah Klochko became the second Executive Director in MoPA's 25 year history. Klochko is now guiding MoPA into the next phase of its evolution.
MoPA has displayed works from the entire history of the medium; from 19th century daguerreotypes to albumen prints, from Pictorialism to master works of 20th century and contemporary works and photojournalism by many of the best photographers working today.

There are very few places in the world that showcase an abundance of African influence and culture quite like Harlem. In the midst of Harlem lies the Studio Museum which houses work influenced by the African heritage and sets forth a dynamic exchange of ideas and society for all who visit. Inside this multi-story loft, patrons will find not only African artwork and sculptures, but also a plethora of photographs, writings and film all dedicated to enhancing your awareness about the beauty and rich cultures of the African people. Museet blev startet i midten af 1960`erne som det første museum i Grønland. Samlingerne er siden udvidet gennem indsamling, fra udgravninger og med tilbageført materiale fra Danmarks Nationalmuseum. Museet har landsdækkende arbejdsopgaver indenfor arkæologi, nyere tids historie, kunst og kunsthåndværk. Museet rummer de centrale registre om fredede bygninger og fortidsminder og varetager fredningslovens bestemmelser om fredning af fortidsminder og bygninger samt deltager i naturfredning og byplanlægning.

vida no continente gelado e a significativa presença do Brasil na Antártica.
Anexo ao Museu Oceanográfico, o prédio do Museu Antártico constitui-se de uma reprodução das primeiras instalações da Estação Antártica "Comandante Ferraz".
Seu acervo conta com diversos painéis, otimizados por fotos que detalham a história da conquista daquele continente, a dinâmica dos mares e vida no Pólo Sul,
bem como o esforço brasileiro em manter uma base num ambiente tão inóspito.
Estão incluídas na sua exposição, alguns objetos utilizados pelos
brasileiros e amostras geológicas e biológicas da Antártica.

Fundado no dia 08 de agosto de 1993, por seu diretor Lauthenay Perdigão, o museu funciona de segunda a sexta-feira, no horário de 9 às 11h30 e 15 às 17h30. Aos sábado, de 09 às 11:30h. O museu foi batizado com o nome de Edvaldo Alves Santa Rosa (Dida), um alagoano que começou jogando no CSA, se transferiu para o Flamengo onde passou doze anos. Dida foi tri-campeão carioca em 1953/54/55. Na decisão do tri-campeonato, no jogo Flamengo 4 x América 1, Dida fez os quatro gols do Flamengo. Deste clássico o museu guarda a camisa usada por Dida, que se encontra no junto com as faixas do tri-campeonato. Dida também jogou na seleção brasileira de 1958, indo para a copa da Suécia como titular. Atuou na primeira partida contra a Áustria, se contundiu e perdeu o lugar para Pelé. http://www.museudosesportes.com.br

The DOCKYARD MUSEUM in the Naval Officer's House interprets the story of English Harbour and of the people that toiled in this famous Georgian Royal Naval Yard. It also explains the 20th century return of sailing ships and the aims and aspirations of Nelson's Dockyard National Park. There is also a small "Nelson's Room" with a life sized portrait of Nelson researched through archaeological means.
