Located in New York City’s Greenwich Village, was founded in 1953 by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino to develop and train professional dancers. The School continues to strive for the founders’ vision of dance based on rigorous classical training that is imbued with a sense of movement, clarity and exuberant energy.
In more than fifty years of existence, the Joffrey Ballet School has remained on the forefront of American dance education. Graduates of the School have gone on to dance for major classical ballet companies, as well as for numerous modern and contemporary companies, both in the United States and abroad.

Directors Michelle Gural & Michael Cardascia haved created a dance studio with a program that is positive for both serious competitive students and students who request lessons purely for the enjoyment and recreation.

State of the art Dance Studio, in the Swan Commons Shopping Center, just west of McDonalds on Montauk Highway. The parking is unlimited and the oversized waiting areas have flatscreen tv monitors for viewing. The dance floors are specially designed and sprung for protection from injury while jumping or leaping.

Not your typical "ballroom" studio, Martinez Dance Studio mixes technique with culture to create a vibrant atmosphere for learning authentic Latin dancing. Martinez Studios bridges the gap between all dance styles. Our classes include: Club–style Salsa, American Ballroom, Latin Ballroom, Argentine Tango, Flamenco, Belly Dancing, Hip–Hop, House, Children´s classes. In this studio the lines of dance are dissolved and people learn for the pure spirit, love and passion of dancing. Privates and groups which create a solid foundation for the 1st time student as well as a challenge for the more advanced dancer.

The directors, Nana and Fred Albee, have operated a successful dance school for over 36 years. As professional dancers, Nana performed with the American Ballet Theatre, then on Broadway in the production of "The Music Man", where she met Fred. Afterwards, they set out as a dance team and performed as soloists at Radio City Music Hall, appeared in Las Vegas and on national TV shows. Fred has assisted choreographer Danny Daniels ("Pennies from Heaven", "Tap Dance Kid") many times and taught the children's program for the "Tap Dance Kid", where one of his students was Savion Glover. Stars they have taught include: Gilda Radner, Olivia Newton John and Marisa Tomei. Marisa was a student of theirs for many years.

Karine Newborn was born and raised in Paris France where she studied ballet with teachers from the Paris conservatory and The Paris Opera, she also studied jazz, modern, placement and voice. At the age of 15 she started working in some of the most renowned modern jazz companies in Paris and performed in "Cats" (Paris). She continued her career in France until she moved to America to pursue bigger dreams. She worked as a dancer,Choreographer and dance teacher for well over 2 decades, and had the joy of performing in many stage shows ("Golden Boys", "Cats", "Aida" (Broadway) and numerous music videos & movies ("South Pacific" with Glenn Close, "Do You Want To Dance" etc.) trade show industrial (Nike, Asix, Abba & many more).

Champion Irish dancer and former lead of Riverdance, Kathleen Ryan, has expanded Ryan Irish Dance Academy to five locations across Nassau County.

The history of Santo Rico dates back to 1995. The name of the dance company is derived from the initial members of the group being half from Santo Domingo (Santo) and half from Puerto Rico (Rico), hence the name "Santo Rico." Santo Rico was initially formed by Wilton Beltre, a Dominican native, who expressed his love for dance by displaying his street style of dancing Mambo/Salsa in local nightclubs in New York City. Prior to forming Santo Rico, Wilton received dancing instruction from the well renowned Eddie Torres. This gave him professionalism, grace and ultimately led to the development of a unique style. A non-profit organization dedicated to extending the dream, dance legacy, and indomitable spirit of Isadora Duncan. The Foundation is based in New York City and supports the work of its resident performing troupe, Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company. The Company offers hundreds of performances annually of Isadora's original choreography as passed down through generations of Duncan dancers, in addition to new works, educational workshops and creative programs that nurture the soul and lift the spirit.

Since its inception in 1992, as a not-for-profit cultural and charitable organization, The Djoniba Dance & Drum Centre has strived to celebrate the global diversity and to bridge the gap between all ages, races and cultures through world dance and music.
The Centre is one of New York City's largest minority-owned dance studios, and is the only cultural center in the world specializing in multi-ethnic dance and drum. The Centre serves thousands of adults and children annually and has a roster of 35 master instructors, dancers and drummers, who teach more than 100 dance classes per week in more than 30 different styles of movement and music from around the world.

Organized to provide an interdisciplinary dance education, focusing on self confidence and esteem. Here at IBC and The Lindt Ballet Theater, companies can be proud of the artistic directorship of Rosemarie Lindt-Piccolo who not only has brought with her experience in working with such legendary performers as Maurice Bejart, Roland Petit and Mathilde Kschessinskaya, but her training with the world famous Madame Nora Kiss forms a link to history's greatest dancers such as Pavlova and Carlotta Brianza. Ms. Lindt-Piccolo has also studied with the great choreographer Kurt Jooss, and has extensively studied various dance forms such as Classical Spanish, Modern Tap, Pas de Deux, and the Rudolf von Laban method of Kinetography.
