Charles Lewis Tiffany, founder of Tiffany & Co., was dubbed "the King of Diamonds" by New York City newspapers. In the spring of 1887, Tiffany bought the French Crown Jewels.
Tiffany designs were worn by such famous families as the Astors, the Vanderbilts, and the Morgans. Athletes, Hollywood stars, and even European royalty adored these diamonds. Museums valued the Tiffany designs, which ranged from the Art Nouveau period to Art Deco to today's modern styles. Today, the 128.54-carat Fancy Yellow Tiffany Diamond is on display in the New York City flagship store. Source |

Maurice Badler established his business in America over fifty years ago. Prior to that, he was a master diamond cutter in Antwerp, Belgium. His painstaking attention to small details earned him a reputation as a perfectionist. If you worked for him, you had to be good!
Today, the business remains in family hands, with Maurice's son Jeffrey at the helm. As a skilled gemologist, he has earned a reputation for skill and honesty on par with his father. But now, he's taken the excitement of the company to a new level. With an experienced eye for fashion, Jeffrey travels to Europe regularly to seek out as yet undiscovered designers whose wares have not yet been seen. He's established relationships with some of the finest jewelry artisans the world has to offer. You'll be able to come to Maurice Badler to see the latest in jewelry trends well before most even know the designs exist. "Jewelry has always gone hand in hand with fashion and fashion's innovations have influenced our creations.
The millennium revisits the themes of black magic, the folk heroines, the military style, the Russian aristocracy, the opulence of the 50s, and the pure and geometric lines of the 70s and 80s. Jewelry from the house of VAN BUSCH completes today's multidimensional high style scene. Rich glowing yellow gold has made a strong comeback and is a perfect fit to the cognacs and beige hues and the classic black of daytime and evening wear. Celebrate the ultimate mix of fashion and elegant jewelry with our unique designs. Yellow gold and white gold jewelry paired with diamonds or colored gemstones may appear transparent and delicate, while another style direction has jewelry with bold and powerful forms worn as a means of self-expression." |

Michael has always designed collections using classic materials that he is inherently drawn to: silver, gold, diamonds, an endless variety of semi-precious stones, as well as more unusual natural materials found in travels around the world. Early in his career, he discovered the ancient technique of granulation, in which metal is heated and formed into tiny spheres which are affixed in various patterns. Incorporating this design element alongside clean crisp lines into much of his work provides a signature that is uniquely his own. Using this wide mix of materials and an extensive vocabulary of design elements allows him to present collections that combine his modern, functional sensibility with an infinite respect for the hues, textures, and compositions abundant in nature.
