Baccarat is relocated to a legendary place situated at 11, place des Etats-Unis in Paris. The former muse of this unique private mansion, Marie-Laure de Noailles (1902-1970) threw magical parties there and in this magnificent place of pomp and tradition, made a salon dedicated to painters, writers and musicians. Time and again she would reorganize the layout and design of the mansion to suit her mood.

A diamond weight is expressed in carats with 100 points to a carat. Cut is also very important. A properly cut stone shines with a fire and brilliance, the likes of which are not seen in any other precious stone. Color also plays an important role in determining the price of the stone. The nearer a stone gets to being colorless, the greater its value. The final factor affecting price is clarity. Most stones contain natural imperfections.

The simplicity of pure geometric forms, visual rhythms and elements working together as one, were concepts motivating Kathleen as a sculpture student at SUNY New Paltz. Now working on a much smaller scale, they continue to influence her as a jewelry designer.

Ara, Designer/CEO, was born in Liberia, Africa, where the beauty of the world struck him at an early age. Upon arrival in the United States in 1985, Ara turned to his artistic renderings and sought an outlet for his creative vision. Working from his loft in Soho, Ara began exhibiting his jewelry designs in 1992 at industry trade shows. Quickly finding enthusiastic buyers, Ara invested himself fully into building this business, eventually leading to the opening of his first NYC retail store on the edge of SOHO on Bleecker Street. Ara has now successfully opened the Versani Flagship Boutique in the heart of SOHO on Mercer Street, in addition to opening two more retail stores across the country - the elegant Mulberry Street location in Nolita, NYC, and our southern hot-spot location in Miami's South Beach. Moving forward is a constant goal of Versani Jewelry.

De Verteuil studied fashion design at FIT, and then decided to become an accessories designer.
