The mission statement of Martin Van Buren High School is to develop academic excellence in a safe and secure enviorment and to provide athletic and other activities which foster students achievement. The school's motto, "Solid lines of communication promote knowledge and understanding," express the philosophy of a school that promotes success through problem solving, personal and academic growth, and oppurtunities to develop leadership skills. We involve faculty, parents, students and outside agencies in planning an implementing school programs.

Founded as a college preparatory school for boys in 1888 by John A. Browning. A traditional curriculum helps support boys intellectually, physically, and emotionally from Pre-Primary through Form VI. Located in the heart of New York City, The Browning School makes use of the city’s vast resources.

Long noted as one of the best schools in the area, the magazine U.S. News and World Report named Farrell as one of the finest high schools in the United States. The independent study concluded that Farrell attained an extremely high level of distinction in every facet of school life. Further honors followed as the school was selected as one of only 16 to be named as New York City´s "Super Schools". The Daily News cited Farrell´s overall commitment to excellence and its dedication to the student body in its choice as an elite school.

EMHS is a co-educational, secondary public high school founded in 1956 for students in grades 7-12 in the hamlet of Elmont, Long Island, New York, in Nassau County.

The staff of Samuel J. Tilden High School is a staff committed to excellence. This excellence will be evidenced in the development of out future leaders. It is our plan to insure that the young people that graduate from these portals are prepared with the social and academic skills necessary to achieve in an ever changing, technologically developing world.

Offering an inquiry-based college-preparatory program with technology and arts infused throughout the curriculum. In addition to taking the New York State English Language Arts Regents, students demonstrate their mastery of material each year by presenting independent projects to panels of teachers. All Beacon students perform one semester of community service.

K-12. In Chapin’s rigorous liberal arts curriculum, students are instructed and supported by a dedicated, distinguished faculty. Small class size ensures individual attention in each of the three divisions: Lower School (Kindergarten through Class 3), Middle School (Classes 4 through 7), and Upper School (Classes 8 through 12). A high school in the East Meadow school district. East Meadow High School was founded in 1953, as part of what is currently the third largest school district in New York State. There are approximately 1,650 students in grades 9-12. Approximately 88% of 2007's graduating class continued their education with 60.37% going on to four- year colleges, and 26.93% to two-year colleges.

The Ramaz School has a deeply rooted history dating back to the early part of the twentieth century. Torah, derech eretz and menschlichkeit, are the ideals set forth by its founders, establishing the foundation that has supported the school across three generations.

St. Peter’s is operated by the Christian Brothers of St. John Baptist de La Salle, a worldwide Religious Order of 14,000 men with a history of 300 years of teaching experience. St. Peter’s is a part of a system of 17 schools operated by the Christian Bothers in the NY/NJ area.
St. Peter’s is a non-profit New York State Regents accredited high school accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and schools. It maintains a policy of non-discrimination of acceptance on the basis of ethnic or religious background.

Trinity's mission, stated in carefully considered terms, is essentially to provide its students with a setting—intellectual, moral, and physical—in which they can pursue the elements of a liberal education. We understand the idea of liberal education in different ways, all of us, but I'm pretty sure we could agree on a small number of things that are necessary to it: reading and writing accurately and truthfully; being curious and critical-minded; opening our minds to the ideas of others; questioning authority; maintaining self-respect and respect for the other. It is an endless project. Its ideals are woven through the ideals of democracy. I've come to think that, beyond the ideal of learning for its own sake, for the love of it, a liberal education serves politics.
