Wolfe’s Pond Park contains mature upland woods, swamp forest, open marsh, ponds, and shoreline on Raritan Bay, making it one of the most diverse parks in the city. This large park is a refuge for scores of native plants and animals in a rapidly developing area of the city. The beach is part of the shoreline strand that runs continuously from Ward’s Point in Conference House Park, north through Mount Loretto and Lemon Creek Preserve, to Wolfe’s Pond Park.

Often abbreviated as MSG, known colloquially simply as The Garden, has been the name of four arenas in New York City, United States. It is also the name of the entity which owns the arena and several of the professional sports franchises which play there. There have been four incarnations of the arena. The first two were located at Madison Square, thus the name. Subsequently a new 17,000-seat Garden (opened December 15, 1925) was built at 50th Street and 8th Avenue, and the current Garden (opened February 14, 1968) is at 7th Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets, situated on top of Pennsylvania Station. Bonanzaville USA is named after the Bonanza Farms that dotted this region in the late nineteenth century as a result of Northern Pacific Railroad's marketing efforts. The NPRR lobbied for large-scale, showcase farms of 1,000 acres or more to advertise the economic potential of the land on either side of the Northern Pacific's route, in particular the land along the Minnesota, Dakota Territory border known as the Red River Valley. They believed these enormous farms would attract people to the Midwest and in return ensure financial support for the railroad. They were right.
The Cass County Historical Society was started in 1954 by the Daughters of the Dakota Pioneers in a basement room at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. Later the museum was moved to Minard Hall at NDSU and began to grow with the help of its volunteers.

The Tribute World Trade Center (WTC) Visitor Center is a project of the September 11th Families' Association, a non-profit organization that provides support and resources for victims of terrorism. Em 1º de março de 1565, Estácio de Sá fundou, na Urca, entre os Morros Cara de Cão e Pão de Açúcar, a Cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Neste mesmo local foi erguida a Fortaleza de São João, constituída por três redutos (pequenos fortins também chamados de Baterias) e um grande Forte, o Forte São José, de 1578 – o terceiro forte mais antigo do país.
Depois de mais de cem anos, o Forte São José está sendo restaurado com apoio da lei Rouanet de Incentivo à Cultura. As duas primeiras fases da restauração foram patrocinadas pelo BNDES. Agora em sua terceira fase, o objetivo é fazer o restauro dos canhões do séc. XIX, e implantar projeto de iluminação para que o local possa ser visitado também à noite. A arquitetural original está sendo respeitada para que o carioca possa voltar no tempo.
A restauração do Forte São José será o ponto culminante de um grande complexo turístico-cultural dentro da Fortaleza de São João, que já está recebendo a visitação de escolas interessadas em mostrar aos seus alunos o palco de tantos momentos históricos importantes.

O Castelinho do Flamengo, também conhecido como Castelinho das Bruxas e Castelinho do Flamengo, patrimônio histórico tombado da cidade, construção residencial do Comendador Joaquim da Silva Cardoso e sua esposa Dona Carolina.Castelinho no início do Século XX, foi projetado em 1916 pelo arquiteto italiano Gino Copede e sua construção terminou em 1918.
O Centro Cultural municipal foi criado em 1992. O nome escolhido buscou homenagear o dramaturgo carioca Oduvaldo Vianna Filho, carinhosamente chamado pelos amigos de Vianinha, falecido precocemente em 1974.

A Usina Hidrelétrica de Itaipu, a maior em operação no mundo, é um empreendimento binacional desenvolvido pelo Brasil e pelo Paraguai no Rio Paraná. A potência instalada da Usina é de 12.600 MW (megawatts), com 18 unidades geradoras de 700 MW cada. A produção recorde de 2000 - 93,4 bilhões de quilowatts-hora (KWh) - foi responsável pelo suprimento de 95% da energia elétrica consumida no Paraguai e 24% de toda a demanda do mercado brasileiro.

Instalado em área de 400.000 m2, cercada por florestas e aos pés do Maciço da Pedra Branca, o parque que já é o maior do gênero na América Latina virou clube.
