For six days each August, the bucolic fairgrounds on Route 9 in Rhinebeck plays host to nearly half a million patrons. The second largest county fair in New York State is the showplace for agriculture in Dutchess County. Over 160 acres of finely manicured gardens and grass create the beautiful setting for thousands of farm animals, agricultural exhibits and horticultural displays.
The fairgrounds becomes an entertainment destination where big name talent can be enjoyed, "thrill a minute" excitement can be experienced at one of the finest carnivals in the entire country, free shows and attractions can be viewed almost constantly from the time you arrive to the time you leave. FAQ - Why two completely separate sessions on Saturday? Happily, demand has outstripped supply and, for the time being, this is the best way to provide access and an all-around better experience (shorter lines, more seating, etc.). So, we'll clear the building at 5pm and start over at 6pm with a whole new group of festival goers. Pick the session that works best for you! We anticipate selling out both Saturday sessions.

March - The mission of the annual Kona Chocolate Festival is to entertain both visitors to and residents of the Big Island; showcase the creative talents of fine Big Island chefs, chocolatiers, ice cream and candy makers; provide a means to highlight cacao farming and support the chocolate industry in Hawai'i; and raise funds to support the unique education each child receives at Kona Pacific Waldorf School in Kealakekua.

Established in 2003 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, the company currently operates a network of branded entertainment businesses including the Tribeca Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival International, and Tribeca Cinemas. As in the past, we will start the festivities in Seligman on Friday with registration, music, entertainment, and checking out the sights of Seligman. Saturday morning the vehicles will start to line up in preparation for the start of the FUN RUN to Kingman. Since this is not a timed event please feel free to stop along the way to enjoy refreshments, western dance, sample the Hualapai Tribe BBQ and check out the other vehicles as they cruise by.

August - Get the lawn chairs in order as you get ready for Grammy Award winning performances by non-other than five-time Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Buddy Guy on Friday, August 25. Buddy will take the stage at 10pm sharp!
Friday night not withstanding, Saturday night's performance of Delbert McClinton, at 10pm, promises to be one of the best Roots Festival performances yet.

Riverfest is Arkansas' largest and most popular music, arts and food festival. The event is held annually over Memorial Day weekend in Julius Breckling Riverfront Park & the vibrant River Market District in Little Rock and the North Shore Riverwalk in North Little Rock, Arkansas. “The 2006 ARIZONA BALLOON FESTIVAL-CHANDLER (R)” and a "BOOO-Looning" Halloween event with more than 50 colorful hot-air balloons will participate in thrilling competition. The balloons will rise from the fields of Tumbleweed Park and compete in a Hare and Hound contest. Spectators are allowed to walk on the field and watch the balloons inflate and lift off. Photo taking is invited. DESERT GLOWS on Friday and Saturday evenings, October 27th & 28th, as a field full of illuminated, tethered, hot air balloons will glow in time to music.

October - The Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival is the annual celebration of the region's diverse bounty - the seafood, the maritime and cultural traditions and the breathtaking coastal environment. The festival's featured crustacean, the Dungeness Crab, was named after the village of Dungeness (near Port Angeles ), Washington . The Festival is located at the Port Angeles City Pier and the Red Lion Hotel overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with Victoria , B.C. just a ferry ride away.

October - Norsk Høstfest, North America’s largest Scandinavian Festival, is celebrating its 29th year, starting the evening of October 10th-14th. Tens of thousands of people attend the event annually to celebrate and partake in the Scandinavian culture and entertainment.
Over 200 internationally recognized artisans, craftsmen and chefs participate. The experience is an eclectic array of contemporary and traditional. The cuisine as well as the clothes, art and jewelry are authentic, fine quality and exquisitely Nordic.

September - The objective of the Illinois International Film Festival is to celebrate the art and entertainment of film in all its forms. The artistic approach is eclectic.Through screenings and associated events, the festival aims to present a wide spectrum of filmmaking - feature films, documentaries, animation, short films, experimental student work, big budget, micro budget and so on. The Illinois International Film Festival brings audiences and filmmakers together to better enjoy the art and fun of filmmaking. The Film Festival offers filmmakers the opportunity to learn, grow and exhibit their films. The festival will offer attendees quality films expanding their knowledge of cinema and enhancing their appreciation of the filmmaking process. Film professionals and the interested public will have the opportunity to gain industry knowledge through interaction within a festival environment. The Illinois International Film Festival is about the film makers’ opportunity to entertain and move their audience.

Each year, the residents of Dixon, Illinois, honor a group of public spirited men and their project which has earned the town national recognition and as the State of Illinois official "Petunia City."
Thousands of pink petunias line more than two miles of Dixon highway approaches and main thoroughfares, giving the city a warm glow of color from early May until late fall.
It all began in the late 1950s when a combination of Dutch Elm disease and major highway expansion caused the removal of all trees along the communitys major roadways.
The Dixon Mens Garden Club, which for several years has worked on small flower beds scattered throughout the city, decided to do something about the barren look of the highway approaches.
In 1960 and 1961, the club planted 4,000 petunias along both sides of about one-half mile of the principal north-south route, South Galena Avenue. The next year, the club members put 6,000 more petunias on the three-quarters of a mile of North Galena Avenue.
Today, the plantings have spread to other approaches to the city and now extend along principal streets. Most of Dixon's 15,000 residents have taken part in one way or another.

Over the course of twenty-five years the K-300 has become the highest regarded mid-distance dog sled race in the world. The race annually attracts the top mushers in the world.

Annual regional arts & crafts festival celebrating the huckleberry and the local community, with 90 vendors, food, entertainment, parade and Miss Huckleberry pageant. This is the 28th year of this event.

November - By the time of the Festival, winter has typically begun in Haines. Conditions can include cold temperatures, wind, snow and/or rain, so you'll want to come prepared with appropriate clothing. We recommend dressing in layers with thermal or polypropylene underwear, a wool or fleece middle layer, and a waterproof/windproof outer layer. Warm gloves, hats with ear protection, and warm waterproof boots are essential. Although you might wish to dress up for Sheldon Museum's annual fundraiser, Eagle Elegance, casual clothing is acceptable for all indoor events.
